LOW EMISSIONS VEHICLES (LEV) PARKING

PRIORITY PARKING SPACES DESIGNATED SPECIFICALLY FOR LOW EMISSIONS VEHICLES (LEV) ARE AVAILABLE ON THIS CAMPUS PARKING LOT:

GENERAL PARKING LOT 3RD AVENUE BEHIND THE ENGINEERING BUILDING
To park in LEV spaces, your vehicle must qualify, or you will be issued a citation.
Who decides what qualifies as a low emissions vehicle? The list is compiled by the American council for an Energy Efficient Economy and is utilized by the US Green Building Council to determine qualifying alternative transportation programs. To learn more, please visit: https://greenercars.org/

SUMMER OPERTIONAL HOURS: MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 7:30AM TO 5:30pm. The regular semester operational hours for the 6th Avenue Parking Facility will be Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 11:00PM. There will be no overnight parking. Any vehicle that is not moved before the facility closes at 11:00pm will be locked up in the facility and cannot be retrieved until the next morning. SIGNS ARE POSTED.
This parking facility is intended for employees, students, and guests to the Marshall University Campus to pay a fee based on the amount of time they are parked within the facility. A ticket will be retrieved upon entering the parking facility. When you exit the parking facility, the ticket will determine the amount due.
The hourly rate charge will be 50 cents. Credit cards, debit cards or parking permits are NOT accepted. CASH ONLY.
There is a fine of $10.00 for a lost ticket.

On home football game days, MU parking permits are not valid in the Stadium lot and other surface lots with numbered spaces. Permit holders must remove their vehicles from these lots by 7:00 AM. The Athletic Department will tow any vehicles remaining in these areas at the owner’s expense. All other surface parking lots without numbered spaces and parking garages can charge a fee for parking on home football game days. Permit holders parked in the parking garages or surface lots without numbered spaces, may stay parked there. However, if you exit the garage or any surface lot on game day and try to re-enter, you must pay the entry fee.

A one-day Parking Permit can be purchased at the Parking Office located on 5th Avenue and 18th Street across from The Twin Towers. The Office Hours Are: Monday – Friday 8:00AM to 4:30PM. Holders Of These Permits May Only Park in The Stadium or Maple Avenue Lots. There is a daily charge of $3.00.

For First Time purchase, please come to the Parking Office on 5th Avenue and 18th Street. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00AM to 4:30PM. Please have your Employee ID with you.
