Congratulations and welcome to Marshall University! We are so excited that you’ve decided to join the #MarshallUFamily, and we are looking forward to you being on campus soon for New Student Orientation.
Spring Orientation is for all new incoming first-year and transfer students and will take place on Wednesday, December 12, 2018. We have specifically designed this orientation program to make your transition to Marshall as seamless as possible.
During Spring Orientation, you will have the opportunity to build on what you already know and learn more about the unique opportunities and resources Marshall has to offer. The half-day orientation program, which parents and family members are also encouraged to attend, includes opportunities for students to:
- Speak with campus representatives at a morning campus services fair, including offices representing financial aid, bursar, housing and dining services.
- Receive an academic overview of Marshall’s curriculum and graduation plans.
- Select and register for your spring classes with the help of professional academic advisors and student staff.
- Have your student ID photo taken.
- Participate in an optional residence hall tour.
We encourage you to ask questions, actively participate, make new friends, and learn what will be expected of you as a Son or Daughter of Marshall.
Before you can register you must pay your $100 enrollment deposit. This amount is applied to your first semester tuition bill and can be paid online, by phone at 304-696-6620 or in person at Old Main room 101.
