Biography
Bryan Howard is the Executive Director of the Delaware County District Library in Ohio, where he leads one of the state’s premier public library systems. With more than 25 years of experience in public libraries, he has held leadership roles across public services, finance, human resources, communications, and executive administration.
Bryan’s expertise includes strategic planning, organizational development, budgeting, labor relations, governance, leadership development, and library funding. He is passionate about building strong organizations, developing future leaders, and ensuring libraries remain vital community institutions.
An active contributor to the profession, Bryan has served in leadership roles with the Ohio Library Council, the Central Library Consortium, and the Public Library Association. As an instructor, he brings practical executive experience into the classroom, preparing students to lead and innovate in today’s evolving library profession.
