Biography
Jenn Monnin is the Evidence Synthesis Librarian at West Virginia University, where she leads evidence synthesis and systematic review services in support of interdisciplinary research and evidence-based practices. Her work focuses on designing comprehensive, transparent literature searches and collaborating with faculty, students, and research teams to advance high-quality scholarship in the health sciences. She also serves as the Research and Publications Librarian for the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, contributing to the development of clinical practice guidelines and consensus statements through expert search strategy design and methodological advising. Her professional interests include open science, scholarly communication, and information literacy, with an emphasis on teaching learners to navigate and evaluate information effectively in complex digital environments. Monnin has developed and taught credit-bearing information literacy courses, provides consultations and workshops on research methods, and supports initiatives in open access and open educational resources. Her scholarship and professional service reflect a commitment to improving research practices, enhancing user engagement, and expanding access to information.
