Buffy Six (she/they)

Buffy Six is the Communications Coordinator for the Division of Student Affairs at Marshall University. They manage social media, web content, HerdLife, and multimedia projects, while supporting both internal and external communications that highlight the student experience. A two-time Marshall graduate, Buffy earned a bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Journalism in 2019 and a master’s degree in Journalism in 2025. Originally from Braxton County, West Virginia, they have a strong connection to Marshall, following in the footsteps of their mom, an alum. Some of Buffy’s favorite Marshall traditions include Week of Welcome, the Fountain Ceremony, and Dan Hollis’s Bubble Day, and you can usually catch them at Marshall soccer games.
