Finance is the management of money, and since nearly every business needs to make money, Finance is the backbone of any business. With this in mind, Marshall University’s Brad D. Smith Undergraduate School of Business offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance. Our Finance bachelor’s degree prepares you to plan, manage and analyze the financial and monetary aspects and performance of business enterprises, banking institutions or other organizations. A bachelor’s degree in Finance typically includes instruction in principles of accounting, financial instruments, capital planning, funds acquisition, asset and debt management, budgeting, financial analysis and investments and portfolio management.
As a Finance major, you have a wide array of student organizations you can choose to join. There are also over ten student organizations that might interest Finance majors such as Beta Alpha Psi and the Student Center for Public Trust.
