Biography

Dr. Ammar Alzarrad is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at Marshall University. He earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Civil Engineering and Business Administration from the University of South Alabama, followed by both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Alabama. Dr. Alzarrad is a Project Management Professional (PMP®) and a Certified Professional in Engineering Management (CPEM®). Recognized for excellence across all facets of academia, Dr. Alzarrad is one of the few faculty members to receive the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences’ three highest honors: the Weisberg Academy of Distinguished Teachers Award, the Weisberg Faculty Research Award, and the Weisberg Service Award. These awards reflect his outstanding contributions to teaching, scholarly research, and service to the university and professional community.
