Biography

Jim McIntosh is a Professor of Occupational Safety and Health at the Weisberg Department of Applied Sciences in the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences at Marshall University. He has over 30 years’ experience in occupational safety & health working in research, industry and academia. He worked at NIOSH in the Division of Safety Research, Field Investigations Section and held progressive safety/ health management positions at Monsanto & Marathon Petroleum. He joined the College in 2005.

Applied safety research funding and equipment grants have been obtained from Encova Insurance, WV DOH, Marathon petroleum, ICL Chemical, and OHD USA. Total amount is approximately $600000.
