The Marshall University Board of Governors today approved personnel athletics contracts including a three-year extension for veteran men’s basketball coach Dan D’Antoni. The 75-year-old coach led the men’s basketball program to its best regular season win total in 76 years. Details on D’Antoni’s season and quotes about today’s decision are available here.
The board met in emergency session to consider other personnel issues that if not dealt with immediately may have resulted in adverse effects on the university.
