Marshall University is accepting applications for the 2016 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Fellowship.

The Marshall University School of Pharmacy has received a $10,000 gift that will be used to purchase state-of-the-art training materials for students.

The Robert C. Byrd Institute for Advanced Flexible Manufacturing (RCBI) will host a free Lunch and Learn from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, that focuses on “Growing Opportunity in Local Agriculture.”

Dr. Girmay Berhie of the Marshall University College of Health Professions has been named to the Top 20 List of America’s Best Health Care Informatics Researchers.

The Huntington Area Art Society spring lecture series continues with “The Southern Renaissance: Style and Power in Quattrocento Florence,” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at the Cellar Door, 905 Third Ave.

The Collaborative, the Marshall University School of Art and Design’s hands-on, student-centered art workshop at the Visual Arts Center, is starting back Saturday, Feb. 20, and will continue for the next three Saturdays.

The Marshall University School of Pharmacy has received a $10,000 grant from Walgreens to support diversity outreach and inclusion initiatives. This is the second year the school has received the funding.

Marshall University’s Psy.D. program is ranked 38th nationally among 77 American Psychological Association (APA)-accredited Psy.D. programs, according to the Best Counseling Degrees website.
