This year, students from across the country are joining us in the College of Engineering and Computer Sciences, Marshall University, to begin their summer research experience through our REU Site in Data Analytics and the REU Site: Safety Analysis and Design Nexus: Bridging Theory and Practice. We are excited to support their research journey, connect them with faculty mentors, and help them grow as future STEM leaders.

We had a wonderful start to our REU program with an engaging icebreaker session that helped students connect, introduce themselves, and begin building a collaborative research community. It was great to see students interacting, sharing their backgrounds, and preparing for a productive summer of undergraduate research, learning, and professional growth. Sessions like this are important for creating a supportive environment where students feel welcomed, motivated, and ready to contribute.
