Online learning at Marshall University offers all-online undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificate programs.

Marshall’s doctoral degree in Business Administration is a three-year, cohort-based, hybrid program with online courses and selected face-to-face meetings on campus. Newly launched in 2021, the DBA program is designed for busy working professionals and academics who want a convenient and flexible way to further advance their professional careers in business.

Specifically, the cohort-based DBA program helps students develop the ability to identify and solve actual business problems while using a practice-based research model. The DBA program provides quality business education through innovative approaches such as experiential learning and design thinking to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

The Doctor of Business Administration degree program is a 66-credit-hour, three-year full-time program. Coursework is completed during the first two years, and the third year is devoted to completing a dissertation. The entry term for the DBA program is August / fall semester.

The DBA program is well-positioned to accommodate the needs of busy working professionals who want to advance their current career or transition to an academic career. This doctoral program is also a way for adjunct or term faculty to obtain a terminal degree to advance their academic careers. The program offers flexibility with hybrid course delivery: online asynchronous instruction with only five on-campus visits per academic year.
