Senior Advising
An “SE” hold will be placed once a senior reaches 90 credit hours. The hold’s purpose is to remind the student to schedule a senior evaluation with either Tammy or Bekah. Once the evaluation is completed the hold will be removed and the student may register.

I am very excited to welcome you to Marshall University. I have worked in student services for more than 23 years. My favortie thing about Marshall is the deep sense of tradition, family and welcmong community you feel as soon as you step on campus.
I completed both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Marshall. My son and husband also earned their degrees from Marshall. My goal is to treat every student the way i would want my own son to be treated.
Outside of work, I love to travel with my family. We love New York City and the North Carolina coast. However, we spend most of our time traveling to visit our son who is currently surving with one of the active-duty U.S. Army Bands. I also love spending time with my spoiled boxer, Meela. I look forward to helping you reach your goals during your time here at Marshall.

Tanier Dutton grew up in Alabama and has been a West Virginia resident since 2023. He is a Marshall University alum with an English, M.A. Prior to Marshall, he received his B.A. in English and Theater from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and his A.S. in Psychology from Bevill State Community College.
Having been a non-traditional student with varied interests, Tanier looks forward to serving students who are still figuring out their paths while navigating the college experience.
When he is not on campus, he is either doing nerdy stuff, like playing Magic: The Gathering or reading Sci-Fi/Fantasy lit, or spending time at home with his partner and their three cats: Joanne, Thimble Mouse, and Gunk Lasagna.
