Good News 2014-2015 Recent M.A. graduate Erica Law will beginning a PhD program this upcoming fall (2015) in the Department of Teaching & Learning Young Adult Literature & Children’s Literature Program at Ohio State University. English major Jamie Mathis on her forthcoming publication. A selection from a series of lyrical essays entitled “Versions of My Father” was chosen for the 2015 edition of Thoreau’s Rooster. Freshman English major Lydia Cyrus has a forthcoming publication entitled “Until the Very End” in Thoreau’s Rooster, an undergraduate creative nonfiction journal. Graduate Teaching Assistant Hannah Kittle’s video essay entitled “Grandma’s Basement” has been published on the Drunken Boat. Dr. Joel Peckham’s new book God’s Bicycle has been published by FutureCycle Press and is available for purchase Graduate Teaching Assistant Erica Law has been accepted into the PhD program in Literature for Children and Young Adults at The Ohio State University Heather (Miles) Ransom, a graduate of Marshall’s MA in English program, learned recently that Chattahoochee Review has accepted her nonfiction essay “Murky Waters” for publication. Former graduate student Haley Fedor has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize for her short story “Pig Alley.” Rajia Hassib’s forthcoming novel is listed as a must-read by Library Journal Dr. Kateryna Schray, 2014 West Virginia Professor of the Year, is Honored at National Awards Ceremony
