Pick-up ServicesNote *The Office of International Student Services arranges airport pickup service and lodging for newly arriving international students beginning the week prior to the start of the semester. Transportation and lodging fees are the responsibility of the student. Please let us know if you will need our assistance when you arrive or if you will make your own arrangements for transportation and lodging. Do you require pickup services? PLEASE NOTE Marshall University requires all international students to have health insurance while studying at Marshall University. Insurance will protect you against the very high medical costs in the US. We require students to purchase an insurance plan which is designed especially for international students (on F-1 and J-1 visas) while studying in the USA. Insurance Waiver Process for Existing Insurance If you have an existing insurance plan that you think will meet Marshall's international student health insurance requirements, you may submit a Marshall University International Student Insurance Waiver Form. Insurance for Students will review this form to determine whether your policy meets Marshall's international student insurance requirements. Please contact the Office of International Student Services for more information at: iss@marshall.edu. *If you Waiver Form is not accepted, you will be required to purchase an Insurance for Students insurance policy.* PLEASE BE ADVISED that an insurance hold will be placed on your account that will prevent registration until 1) the Waiver Form has been accepted, or 2) you purchase an Insurance for Students Insurance Policy.
