Share
Marshall University’s Chamber Music Concert Series will present “Music Unveiled,” a concert featuring Marshall music professor Şölen Dikener on cello and Yeşim Dikener on piano. The concert will be at noon Thursday, Feb. 19, at First Presbyterian Church, located at 1015 5th Ave. in downtown Huntington. It is free and open to all.

The Dikeners will play the rarely performed “Cello Sonata” by Swiss composer Othmar Schoeck, along with works by Gaspar Cassadó, Joseph Haydn, and Robert Schumann.

“In the heart of winter, our cello piano duo recital unfolds in music of warmth and gentle lyricism, offering moments of solace reflection, and connection when we need them most,” Şölen Dikener said.

The rest of the Chamber Music Concert Series schedule is as follows:
• March 12 – String Faculty, featuring Júlio Ribeiro Alves on guitar, Alexander Malaimare on violin and Şölen Dikener on cello.
• April 9 – Solo Guitar, featuring Júlio Ribeiro Alves, guitar
• April 30 – Solo Piano, featuring Johan Botes, piano.

Sponsored by the School of Music in the College of Arts and Media, all concerts are free, and all are welcome.
