The Herd Academy focuses on providing accessible, career-oriented education and support services that help students transition seamlessly into higher education and the workforce.
The event is designed specifically for high school students interested in exploring academic and career-focused opportunities available through the Herd Academy. Attendees will have the chance to meet with university officials, ask questions about programs and pathways, and gain a firsthand look at what the South Charleston campus has to offer.
Marshall’s beloved mascot, Marco, will also be on hand for photos and selfies, adding a fun and engaging element to the evening.
Michelle Biggs, director of the Herd Academy, said the open house provides an ideal introduction for students considering their next steps after high school.
“This is a great opportunity for students to see what’s available to them and to start envisioning their future at Marshall,” Biggs said. “We’re excited to connect with prospective students and showcase the resources and programs that can help them succeed.”
