The Brass Band of the TriState will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, in Smith Recital Hall on Huntington’s campus.
Directed by Michael Stroeher, a professor of low brass at Marshall, the band will present a concert of British and American music in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
“The concert celebrates our roots in the music of Great Britain and great American traditions such as the folksong ‘Shenandoah,’ as well as Ragtime, the music of George Gershwin, and the march ‘National Emblem,’” Stroeher said.
The concert is free and open to all.
