Minor Information
The Nutrition & Dietetics Minor allows students to explore the role of nutrition in healthy living through coursework in nutrition science, health, wellness, and food. Completion of the undergraduate Nutrition & Dietetics minor could benefit those interested in improving personal well-being and achieving a healthier lifestyle, as well as students pursuing careers in food, exercise science, athletic training, nursing, medicine, physical therapy, pharmacy, dentistry, and other allied health professions.

The Minor:
- Adds value to a wide range of majors by equipping students with practical knowledge and critical thinking skills.
- This program offers a strong foundation in the applied science of nutrition, focusing on how macronutrients and micronutrients support physiological function. Students gain a multidisciplinary understanding of the food environment, and through elective courses may explore nutrition across the lifespan, sports nutrition, and the sociocultural influences on food and health.
- Is open to students in any major. Benefits all students by broadening future employment opportunities and improving personal health and wellness.

Requires 15 hours of student in Nutrition & Dietetics. Courses are customizable to fit individual goals by choosing from a selection of classes specific to the individual interests, such as sports nutrition, lifespan nutrition, and cross-cultural foods.
