Biography
Dr. Tiffany Childers earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Marshall University School of Pharmacy in 2024. She went on to complete a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the Beckley VA Medical Center in Beckley, West Virginia. During her PGY1,Dr. Childers gained clinical experience in ambulatory care by providing medication management to patients with chronic disease states such as high blood pressure, heart failure, high cholesterol, diabetes, and thromboembolism treatment. Dr. Childers subsequently completed a PGY2 in Clinical Pharmacogenomics at St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Edgewood, Kentucky, where she gained experience in precision medicine, implementation science, and interprofessional education. She has completed teaching certificates during both her PGY1 and PGY2 through the VA and the University of Cincinnati College of Pharmacy.
Upon completion of her PGY2 residency in 2026, Dr. Childers joined the faculty at Marshall University School of Pharmacy as a Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Childers’ interests include pharmacogenomics, education, ambulatory care, utilizing evidence-based medicine, and providing patient centered care. Dr. Childers is an active member of the Clinical Pharmacogenomics Implementation Consortium (CPIC) and Pharmacogenomics Global Research Network (PGRN).
