Biography

“I am from Scott Depot, WV. I received my B.S. in Biological Sciences from The University of Charleston in 2020.

I am a very family-oriented person and Marshall is close to home for me. When I first visited Marshall’s Pharmacy School, I was welcomed with nothing but open arms. Everyone I interacted with was so positive and helpful. The idea of a “Pharmily” was new to me but that’s exactly what I felt when I came to MUSOP!

While at MUSOP I was involved in a variety of amazing opportunities! I was able to be on the executive boards of APhA, SSHP, AMCP, PDC, Phi Lambda Sigma and become a member of Rho Chi during my time at MUSOP. Every organization offered multiple opportunities to become more involved within not only the school, but the Huntington community. I was also honored to serve on committees dedicated to improving the curriculum at MUSOP. Personally, one of my favorite positions I was elected to hold was Class Representative. I loved being able to help my fellow classmates in whatever way possible by voicing their concerns.

I am so thankful for the APPEs MUSOP was able to place me in. After completing 8 challenging rotations in various fields of pharmacy I feel even more confident to begin my career in pharmacy! I want to thank every professor, preceptor, pharmacist, technician, and fellow intern that I have worked with for helping mold me into the person I am today.

It has been my goal since the beginning of pharmacy school to complete a PGY-1 Residency. I am overjoyed to have matched for my PGY-1 Residency at the Beckley VA Medical Center in Beckley, WV. I am confident my time at MUSOP has given me the skills and abilities to provide excellent patient-centered care. I am excited to see what growth is to come as a pharmacist through my time at the Beckley VA Medical Center! I will forever and always be a proud Daughter of Marshall!”
