Jen Sparks, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP

Biography

Dr. Sparks is a clinical assistant professor at Marshall University School of Pharmacy (MUSOP). She serves as a clinical pharmacy specialist practicing with the Marshall Health internal medicine rounding service at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Dr. Sparks earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Charleston in 2011 and completed a teaching certificate program through MUSOP.  She is a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist and board-certified infectious disease pharmacist. Dr. Sparks has a background in clinical pharmacy management, medication safety, and antimicrobial stewardship. She has served as a preceptor and adjunct faculty for several pharmacy schools and on committees in state and national pharmacy organizations. Dr. Sparks’ practice interests include infectious diseases/antimicrobial stewardship, medication safety, travel medicine, and drugs of abuse.
