Mission Statement
Marshall University complies with all applicable federal and state nondiscrimination laws. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, or genetic information as required by Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other relevant laws.
Further, we are committed to ensuring the fair, equal, and just treatment of all staff members and to facilitating the creation of a workplace atmosphere free from fear, intimidation, threat and/or harassment in any form in which it may exist.
In recognition of the need to provide for a free and open forum to our state and institutional administrators on all matters affecting the welfare of our classified staff employees, we duly constitute a representative organization to further the means.
Therefore, we collectively form in association a Classified Staff Council, with representatives impartially elected from and by all members of our classified staff, to act on our behalf and in our interest.
