Biography
John Boggess is serving his second semester as WMUL’s online director and sports social media coordinator as a member of the digital media team. He is a senior studying Sports Journalism. As a member of WMUL’s Sports staff, he has served previously as a beat reporter for Marshall Softball and currently Marshall Swim/Dive, commentator, producer, and sports anchor. He was awarded a 2023 dotCOMM Gold Award for a Marshall Softball Sports Package. He also received a Marshall University SOJMC Award for Content of the Year for hosting and producing Sportsview. Outside of WMUL, he has completed internships with the Charleston Dirty Birds and WWSA 96.9-LM. He has also worked multiple ESPN+ broadcasts of Marshall Athletics.
