The Office of Accessibility and Accommodations provides the educational and physical accessibility support necessary for students to achieve their academic goals and promotes as much independence as possible on the part of the students with disabilities. We aim to make all programs, services, and activities fully accessible to students with disabilities, and our staff works directly with students to personalize types and levels of services needed for a successful college career.

Accommodations Offered

Housing Accommodations

Our office provides housing accommodations as well. If you have needs that require special housing arrangements, be it a Medical Single Room Request or a Medical Release Request, we can help.

Emotional Support Animals (ESA)

Emotional support accommodations include assistance with the ESA Administrative Procedure, including Proscribing of Professional Emotional Support Animal Evaluation.

Higher Education for Learning Problems (HELP) Center
A fee-based comprehensive academic support program that has grown to provide academic assistance and support to a wide variety of students.
College Program for Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders
Provides support, strategies and programming individualized to the strengths, abilities and needs of each student.
Buck Harless Student-Athlete Program (BHSAP)
Helps student-athletes balance academic and athletic demands through daily services, individualized guidance and current curriculum information.
Tutoring Services
Marshall has partnered with Knack, the fastest growing peer learning platform for college students, to help students succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Writing Center
The Writing Center is a free tutoring service for all Marshall students who want help with their writing.
