RiteCare Royal Knight Out

MUSHC, in partnership with the Huntington Scottish Rite Masons, are pleased to announce the upcoming “RiteCare Royal Knight Out.”  This event will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2021, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on the campus of Marshall University, in the field behind the Cam Henderson Center.

Your child can transform into a princess, prince, or knight and will be transported to our RiteCare Kingdom for the evening, right here on the campus of Marshall University.  They will be able to participate in royal makeovers, slay a dragon, and complete arts, crafts, and games at our various booths.  Each prince, princess, or knight will have the opportunity to have their pictures taken with favorite storybook, fairytale, and movie characters and photos may be downloaded for free.  Complimentary refreshments will be served, with the addition of various food trucks for desserts and treats at an additional cost.

Event admission is $10 and includes most activities.  Horse & carriage rides will be offered for $5, and donations will be accepted throughout the evening.  We will also offer a silent auction and 50/50 raffle.

Thank you to our Donors, Partners, & Sponsors – Click on each picture to be directed to their websites!

Sponsors Still Needed

Learning to communicate is one of the most important things we do in our lives. Marshall University’s Speech and Hearing Center is one of the few facilities in the state that helps make communication possible for children of all ages. In lieu of the annual Scottish Rite Fundraising dinner, we will hold the first Rite Care Royal Night Out on Saturday, August 28, 2021, at 5 PM on the lawn by the Henderson Center, Tennis Courts, and East Hall on the campus of Marshall University.  This event will allow young boys and girls to transform into knights and princesses with a royal presentation. All proceeds will benefit the university’s speech and hearing center.

Because of the assistance of the Scottish Rite Masons, the Center has experienced significant growth in recent years. Through donations to the program, many families can receive services they may have not otherwise been able to afford. In order to meet our mission and provide services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals and businesses for support. With your support, we will continue to provide services to over 100 children each semester, making a positive impact on their lives for years to come.

The number of families in need continue to grow. This year, we are asking our supporters to consider helping with the financial burden of ongoing services that are often needed for a number of our clients, including: infants born prematurely, children with Autism, and the growing number of children who are born exposed to opioids.

We invite corporate sponsorships at $5,000, $10,000, or $25,000 levels.

Personal donations will be accepted and recognized at the following levels: King/Queen = $3,000-$5,000, Prince/Princess = $2,000-$2,999, Duke/Duchess = $1,000-$1,999, Marquess/Marchioness = $250-$999, Kinght/Dame = $100-$249.

Items are also needed for activity booths and gift baskets for auction.  We welcome and appreciate any business or individual interested in donating items or sponsoring activities, games, or materials for this event.

All donating businesses will be recognized and receive free advertisement on our website and social media pages.
