Welcome! Nationally competitive awards, including the Fulbright, Rhodes, Boren, and Gates Cambridge, can be challenging to navigate. We are here to help students identify nationally and internationally competitive scholarships, fellowships, and related opportunities that align with their interests, strengths, and future goals. We also support selected Honors College initiatives connected to international engagement and high-impact educational opportunities. Whether you are just beginning to explore your options or preparing a competitive application, our office can help you stay informed about deadlines and guide you throughout the process.

Although we are housed in the Honors College, the Office of Nationally Competitive Awards & International Engagement works with students, faculty, and staff from across the university. In addition to supporting nationally competitive awards, the office also contributes to selected Honors College initiatives related to international engagement and partnership-based opportunities. Please do not hesitate to contact us, even if you are not an honors student. Learn more about the Honors College’s WV–Ireland Transatlantic Partnership. Faculty seeking to support students applying for nationally competitive awards, including Fulbright opportunities, are also encouraged to contact the office.
