Charles “C.K.” Babcock, Pharm.D., associate professor for the Marshall University School of Pharmacy, has been selected to receive a 2021 American Pharmacists Association (APhA) GenerationRx Award of Excellence. The annual award recognizes a pharmacist who has demonstrated a commitment to the mission of substance abuse education.
Applying to medical, pharmacy or physical therapy school can be time consuming and stressful. Students have to prepare and submit multiple documents — while at the same time staying on top of their undergraduate coursework. For Marshall University students committed to a career in one of these health professions, the process can now be substantially smoother thanks to three new “Early Assurance” programs.

Marshall University School of Pharmacy assistant professor Velvet Journigan, Ph.D., has received a Young Investigators Award from the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Medicinal Chemistry (MEDI). This award recognizes young investigators within 10 years of the start of their independent careers who have made significant contributions to the field of medicinal chemistry.
