Green and White Day

Green and White Day returns to teach prospective students what the Journalism and Mass Communications department of Marshall University has to offer. Students who attend will have the opportunity to tour the Communications Building. During this tour the students will see the Parthenon newsroom and the studios and offices of WMUL. The tours will be lead by faculty and students of the Journalism and MAss Communications department so the students in the tour may ask questions and learn the benefits of joining these organizations. The final Green and White Day of the fall 2017 semester is December 1 and the tours of the Communication Building will start at 9:30 a.m. The members of WMUL look forward to meeting prospective members! Hair From the Herd 2017

Hair From the Herd is an annual event put together by WMUL and it is that time of the year again. Every spring semester WMUL partners with a local cosmetology school and sets up at the Memorial Student Center to encourage students to donate hair for children with hair loss. Hair from the Herd will be taking place April 27 this year and students who would like to donate at least eight inches of hair are welcome to come down and join us. Read More

Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications at Marshall University and faculty manager of WMUL-FM, said that the students competed with other broadcasting students from more than eighty colleges and universities throughout the United States. Va. -- Students from Marshall University's public radio station, WMUL-FM, received ten ( 10 ) first place awards and twelve ( 12 ) honorable mention awards during the National Broadcasting Society/ Alpha Epsilon Rho (NBS/AERho) 26th Annual National Student Audio/Video Scriptwriting and 54th Annual Audio/Video Production Awards Competition ceremony at the Hilton Meadowlands Hotel in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Saturday, March 25, 2017.

Green and White Day at Marshall University is just around the corner and that brings prospective students to see all they can benefit from enrolling at Marshall. As Dr. Bailey likes to say,
"The real best decision ever is volunteering at WMUL."
Students who tour the Journalism department at Marshall get the opportunity to see out offices and studios; they also get to hear from students currently benefiting from the station.
