The Alternative Suspension Program is currently offered by the College of Business and the College of Science. The program provides students who are facing a first-time suspension for academic deficiencies with the opportunity to remain enrolled at Marshall University instead of sitting out for a semester. Alternative Suspension is not automatic. The successful ASP applicant must meet several conditions in order to participate in the program:
- Be a student in the College of Business or the College of Science;
- Apply for program participation below;
- Maintain full-time enrollment with no more than 12 credit hours in the Spring 2018 term;
- Enroll in one additional credit, UNI 102, Strategies for Academic Success, in the Spring 2018 term.
- Develop an Academic Improvement Plan with your advisor and meet three times during the Spring 2018 term.
