MU ASSE Members attended tours to Steel of West Virginia in two groups on September 9th and 29th, 2015. Steel of West Virginia was 
established in 1906 and is a major producer of fabricated steel in the area. The company is the number one national producer of fabricated steel beams used in freight trucks and has contracts for solar panel steel supports and rail beams. Students interacted with the Safety Director and discussed various safety topics including overhead hazards, heat stress, ergonomic factors, and injury trends.
