Students in the Engineering 107 class were tasked with the challenge to create a wind-turbine that produces energy. Various factors such as turbine blade length, weight and shape had to be taken into account in order to achieve a maximum energy throughput. On the day of the competition, the students were graded according to many defining factors such as amount of energy generated as well as the quality and design of their turbines.
After two days of testing the final results were in! Joshua Lockard, Cody Queen, and Patrick Castro were the three students whose turbine generated the most energy!
Congratulations to all the students who worked hard on their projects and came up with innovative and exciting designs!
