Biography

Dr. Kimberly McFall serves as Associate Professor and School Library Program Coordinator at Marshall University, where she has taught for more than a decade. An 18-year veteran of the K–12 classroom, she taught Music and Media in Texas, North Carolina, and Arkansas before transitioning to higher education. Her teaching and research focus on digital literacy, curriculum design, and the evolving role of artificial intelligence in education. In 2023, she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to the University of Wrocław in Poland, where she supported current and future educators in using technology to enhance learning through talks and seminars. She returned in 2024 as an Invited Guest Scholar, delivering a keynote and leading a seminar series on generative AI and best practices in teaching. Dr. McFall supports her students through mentoring, advising, and research supervision, believing strongly that educators must be empowered to advocate for themselves and their learners. Outside of academics, she enjoys being outdoors, is on a life quest to find the best coffee, and has a well-known love for glitter.
