Biography

Dustin Einchenlaub, MA, is originally from a very small town called Otway, Ohio, which is about 20 minutes outside of Portsmouth. He completed both of his degrees from Marshall University: a bachelor’s in psychology (December 2023) and a master’s in clinical mental health counseling (May 2026). He obtained experience in both case management and therapy services while completing his graduate degree in counseling. He completed his practicum and internship experiences at the counseling center, allowing him to continue to hone his clinical skills and deepen his passion for working with college students. He is set to obtain his provisional counseling license in West Virginia by the end of the year.

Dustin specializes in evidence-based practices including (but not limited to) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), infusing behavioral and mindfulness-based principles and theory into person-centered care for his students. Key areas of specialty for Dustin are adjustment to college, emotional regulation and distress tolerance, as well as identity development and LGBTQIA+ issues. He believes that students live their most fulfilling lives when they make changes to live more in line with their core values, and he carries this idea throughout his sessions.

In his free time, you can find him listening to music, going on walks, traveling, and spending time with close friends and family.
