At Marshall University, we understand the importance of investing in our students. That’s why we offer numerous scholarships to help make your educational journey possible. Whether you’re looking for department-based, merit or field-based opportunities, there is something available for everyone! As the Institute for Cyber Security continues to evolve, some of these scholarship opportunities may change; however, with a little research and due diligence on your part you can find one that works best for you today.

Note that the following scholarships are only departmental scholarships and that other external scholarships, such as university need-based scholarships, may apply to you as well. Please reach out to the Financial Aid Office with any questions.

External Scholarships

Cyber Service Academy Scholarship Program

The Cyber Service Academy Scholarship Program is designed to support students pursuing degrees in cybersecurity and related fields. In exchange for service in Department of Defense or Intelligence Community roles after graduation, the program offers full tuition coverage, stipends for books, a computer, housing, internships with the DoD, and guaranteed employment post-graduation.

Scholarships are available for the last year of an Associate’s degree, the final two years of a Bachelor’s degree, full Master’s degree programs, or doctoral studies.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • U.S. citizen, 18 years or older.
  • Enrolled in or applying to a university designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity.
  • Must have completed either the first year of an Associate’s degree, the first two years of a Bachelor’s degree, or already possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
