LD and ADHD Students

For students with an LD or ADHD*, Community H.E.L.P. provides one-on-one instruction with qualified teachers. Our students progress as fast as they can or as slowly as they need to. The emphasis is on understanding and skills mastery, not rote memorization. Our administrators and teachers are in regular contact with parents and/or guardians regarding their student’s progress and are willing, if requested by the parent and/or guardian, to work with the student’s school to address needs, discuss interventions, and track progress.

For reading we use the Orton-Gillingham approach. Orton-Gillingham is a structured multisensory phonetic approach to reading that is both time-tested and research-proven.
