Auditions for the fall Marshall University theatre productions of Ah, Wilderness! by Eugene O’Neill, and A Christmas Carol, by Charles Dickens and adapted by Romulus Linney, will take place beginning Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Starting Monday, Aug. 24, the Marshall Recreation Center will offer all group fitness classes free to its members.

The Marshall University School of Pharmacy welcomed three new faculty members over the summer. 

The Marshall University Forensic Science Delta Delta Epsilon National Honor Society is sponsoring a pancake breakfast fundraiser beginning at 8 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 22 at Max & Erma’s in Pullman Square.

Approximately 1,900 Marshall University freshmen will walk in one large group from the Huntington campus to the Keith Albee Theatre Friday morning via Fourth Avenue for the annual President’s Freshman Convocation.

Marshall University has been awarded a nearly $1 million grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to provide substance abuse prevention and early intervention training to students in a number of health care-related programs.

Beginning Thursday, Aug. 27, collected prints from the University of Rio Grande’s Greer Museum will be available to view at the Birke Art Gallery on Marshall University’s Huntington campus.

Marshall University has lowered the price of its College Courses in the High Schools program, which allows students to earn college credits while they are still in high school.
