College Accessibility Liaison Program

Marshall University has launched the College Accessibility Liaison Program for the 2026–2027 academic year. Nine faculty members were selected through an application and interview process to represent their colleges as we work toward the April 2027 ADA Title II compliance deadline. The cohort kicked off with an all-day Digital Accessibility Summer Institute on August 11. College Accessibility Liaisons will bring discipline-specific questions and needs into a community of practice with Marshall Online and MUIT, where we can collaborate on more targeted workshops and resources.

What liaisons do

Your liaison is a colleague in your own college who will:

  • Coach faculty on digital accessibility solutions
  • Share resources and best practices for accessible, inclusive course design
  • Bring their college’s perspective into a university-wide accessibility community of practice

Liaisons are a first point of contact — not a compliance officer. They can offer guidance or connect you to the right resources and support.

Watch for information from your liaisons!
