Entering a New E‑Course
Step 1: Access SSASECT
- Enter the appropriate Dummy Term:
- Fall:

- Tab to the CRN field and type
ADD. - Select Go.
Step 2: Course Section Information
- Enter Subject and Course Number (e.g., ENG 201).
- Do not change existing course titles.
- Exceptions: Special Topics, Seminars, Staff Development, Independent Study.

- Credit Hours: Do not change (except Special Topics/Seminar/Staff Dev.)
- Gradable: Always checked
Save to generate a Dummy CRN.
Enrollment Information
- Navigate to the Enrollment Information tab.
- Enter Maximum Enrollment.
- Save.
Meeting Times and Instructor
Meeting Times
- E‑Courses should have no meeting days or times.
- Building: ONLINE
- Room: ASYNC
- Enter weekly hours (e.g., 3 hours for a 3‑credit course).
- Save.
Instructor Assignment
- If no instructor is assigned, leave blank (defaults to Staff).
- Enter instructor MU ID.
- Percent of responsibility defaults to 100%.
- If multiple instructors:
- Two instructors: 51% / 49%
- Three instructors: 34% / 33% / 33%
- Save.
