This event is open to all 2018 July, August, and tentative December graduates.
Winter Commencement will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018 at the Big Sandy Superstore Arena beginning at 10:00 a.m. Graduates most report to the arena by 9:00 a.m. More information will be provided soon.
Diploma covers will be presented to each student as they walk across the stage for commencement on Saturday, December 15, 2018. If you are not attending commencement, please stop by the Registrar’s Office to pick up your diploma cover. Diploma covers will not be available for pick up until after the ceremony. The office is located in Old Main 106B and open Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Diploma covers cannot be mailed.
Marshall University diplomas will be mailed to the student’s permanent address 4-6 weeks after the conferral date. Students may verify or update their address via myMU. If you have an international permanent address, please visit University Express Mail Service and create a shipment to have your diploma mailed. Please select Marshall University as the institution and the Office of the Registrar as the department. If you have not received your diploma, please send an email inquiry to firstname.lastname@example.org or call (304) 696-6410.
Marshall University now offers students the ability to apply for graduation online. By logging into myMU, students can fill out the application and pay the commencement fee at the same time. Paper applications must be returned to the student’s academic dean’s office and fee payment made to the Bursar’s office.

Students who do not complete the application by the deadline for the semester in which they intend to graduate will need to contact their Dean’s office regarding graduation.
