Biography

Madison Hankins is the Graduate Assistant for the Title IX Office, where she supports the Title IX Coordinator through training, prevention initiatives, event planning, and special projects that align with the office’s mission to foster a safe and equitable campus environment.

Madison earned a Bachelor of Science in Communication Disorders with a minor in Psychology from Marshall University in December 2024. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the College of Health Professions, with plans to become a certified speech-language pathologist upon graduating in August 2027. Throughout her time at Marshall, Madison has been an active member of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association for three years and volunteers for the R.A.D. (Rape Aggression Defense) Program, a self-defense course offered by MUPD designed to empower women with practical safety skills.

Over the past five years, Madison has worked in various childcare settings, where she cultivated a strong passion for helping and advocating for others. These experiences have honed her interpersonal and communication skills, which complement her work supporting the Title IX Office’s mission to promote safety and equity on campus. Her dedication to fostering inclusive environments and her strong communication skills make her a valuable asset to the Title IX Office. Following graduation, Madison plans to pursue a career in speech-language pathology, aiming to apply her expertise across diverse clinical settings to improve communication and quality of life for her clients.

Outside of work, Madison enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, gaming, watching sports, and binge-watching shows and movies.
