Adventure Recreation

Outdoor Pursuits offers an array of experiential education programs and services including: an indoor rock climbing wall, equipment rentals, team building programs, along with outdoor recreation trips, clinics, and workshops.

Aquatics

The Aquatic Center features a 100,000 gallon leisure pool incorporating three 25 yard lap lanes, sweeping-stair entry, water-basketball hoop, and vortex. The aquatic area also features a 3,000 gallon, 20 person hot water spa and an adjacent outdoor patio. We offer Group, Adult, and Private swim lessons in the Aquatic Center.

Certifications

Campus Recreation offers American Red Cross Certification Courses in CPR/AED, First Aid, Lifeguarding, and Instructor Certifications. Students, faculty, staff and the community are welcome to enroll in these classes. Certified American Red Cross instructors teach all classes.

Competitive Sports

Each year thousands of students participate in a variety of Intramural sports, leagues and divisions offered through the Marshall University Competitive Sports Program. While Club Sports allow for a voluntarily organized group of Marshall students, faculty, or staff to pursue competition in a specific sport involving physical skill.

Fitness & Wellness

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is easy in our facility, filled with a variety of state of the art equipment and a positive, energetic atmosphere. We offer personal training, group fitness classes, Nutrition Consultations and Fitness Testing.

Youth Programs

The Recreation Center is home to a variety of youth camps and programs for kids of all ages. Our youth camps, such as Healthy Herd and Kid’s Night Out, emphasize developing healthy lifestyles through participation in physical activities.
