Biography
Toni Ferguson is an Academic Advisor who helps students navigate their academic journey with confidence, guiding them in course planning and goal setting in ways that align with their individual needs and aspirations. She teaches UNI 100 courses and serves as the primary advisor for freshman and sophomore students, ensuring they feel supported as they transition into and progress through college.
Beyond academics, Toni is deeply committed to student well-being and success. Whether accompanying students to counseling, connecting them with Career Services, or attending events that matter to them, she strives to be a trusted and approachable mentor who listens and supports students both in and outside the classroom.
Her community work is rooted in service to veterans in the Tri-State area, where she actively participates in organizations that raise awareness and funds for veterans and homeless veterans, while also helping preserve the memory of significant historical events such as Pearl Harbor, Vietnam, and 9/11.
A first-generation college graduate, Toni also advises the SigEp Fraternity, remains active in her church, and volunteers regularly within her community.
