Biography

Dr. Tisha Duncan is a faculty member in Leadership Studies whose professional goal is to advance her program and department through innovative curriculum design, collaborative initiatives, and student-centered practices. She works with graduate students pursuing advanced degrees in Leadership Studies and Educational Leadership, teaching in supervision and licensure programs, advising master’s and post-secondary certificate students, and guiding doctoral candidates through dissertation writing.

Her scholarly interests include Emerging Adulthood, technology integration and advancement, and nontraditional forms of education. In addition to her academic work, she partners with her local Partnership for Children office to support and train licensed childcare providers in her community, demonstrating her commitment to real-world impact.

Dedicated to mentoring, advising, and fostering strong relationships, Dr. Duncan emphasizes communication and connection to ensure meaningful learning experiences. Outside of academia, she enjoys reading across genres and traveling—most recently completing a 3,500-mile road trip from California to Florida in just five days, crossing 12 states along the way.
