The Interim Dean

Scott Davis, previously served as chair of the School of Physical Therapy and leads the college on an interim basis while Marshall conducts a national search for the next permanent dean during the 2026-2027 academic year. In addition to serving as chair of the School of Physical Therapy since 2016, Davis previously served as chair of Marshall’s Graduate Council. His research and scholarly interests include assessment and treatment of non-acute low back pain, chronic pain, sensorimotor training, orthopedic tests and measures, and athletic performance assessment and performance enhancement. He earned a BS in Physical Therapy from West Virginia University in 1988, a MS in Statistics from West Virginia University in 2002 and a EdD in Educational Psychology/Higher Ed Leadership from West Virginia University in 2006.
