Megan Archer, MCM, serves as a public relations specialist within the College of Health Professions. Since March 2013, Archer has been responsible for generating positive awareness through the design and distribution of news releases, monthly newsletters and alumni materials. Prior to her position within the COHP, Archer worked as a market researcher for Offenberger & White, Inc. in Marietta, Ohio. She received her master’s of corporate media from Marietta College in May 2012 and her B.A. in public relations from Marshall University in August 2010.  In 2011, she traveled to Australia to study video editing and broadcast production at Bond University. In the summer of 2009, she traveled to Madrid, Spain to attend Universidad Antonio de Nebrija and received her minor in the Spanish language. Archer said she loved her four years at Marshall and feels a great sense of pride to work at the university, which taught her so much.

Jonathan Brown serves as director of instructional technology in the Marshall University College of Health Professions. Since 1984, Brown has worked as the instructional technologist responsible for maintaining operations of faculty computer equipment, distance learning equipment and the nursing learning lab. Prior to 1984, Brown was communication director with the state department of labor in Charleston, W.Va.  He received his B.A. in English from Marshall University and his M.A. in Instructional Technology, also from Marshall University. Brown came back to Marshall for graduate school in 1982 and was assigned a graduate assistance position in the instructional technology department and has been there ever since.  Brown said he enjoys working in a university setting where there are new ideas and change happening every day. He is currently a member of the Elks Post 313 and the Mason Huntington Lodge 53.

Rick Rogers

Richard “Rick” Rogers is an administrative associate within the Marshall University College of Health Professions. Since August 2013, he has been responsible for providing administrative support to the dean while managing daily operations of multiple departments within the COHP. Rogers also serves as liaison with university units, outside organizations and the general public. Prior to his position at Marshall, he worked for the city of Huntington as the assistant finance director for 23 years as well as the state of West Virginia Tax Department and the Cabell Huntington Health Department. Rogers received his bachelor’s of business administration from Marshall University in 1984. Growing up in a big family in Huntington, Rogers said he has always been a fan of Marshall athletics and considers himself lucky to work for the best university in the state.
