School of Pharmacy celebrates fourth class of new pharmacists

At the fourth annual Marshall University School of Pharmacy graduation and investiture this month, 79 doctor of pharmacy degrees were awarded. Seven of the new pharmacists additionally received their master’s degrees in business administration.

“I am so proud of these remarkable men and women, and I know they will make a difference in the communities they choose to serve,” said Gayle A. Brazeau, Ph.D., dean of the school of pharmacy.”

Many of the graduates accepted positions with retail pharmacies including CVS, Fruth, Kroger and Walgreens. Others accepted residencies with Beckley Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Cabell Huntington Hospital, Cincinnati Children’s Medical Center (Ohio), Hershel “Woody” Williams VA Medical Center, Holzer Health System (Ohio), Indian Health Services at Warm Springs Health Center (Oregon), King’s Daughters Medical Center (Kentucky), and Marshall Pharmacy.
