Eric T. Beeson, PhD, LPC (he/him) is Professor and Chair of the Counseling Department at Marshall University. He aims to provide sparks that ignite the fires of discovery in his students, schools, and the counseling profession. Dr. Beeson teaches and leads learning experiences in assessment, research, artificial intelligence, telebehavioral health, digital therapeutics, and neuroscience-informed care. His scholarly work focuses on integrating emerging technologies with counseling practice, including a pilot study evaluating the fidelity of ChatGPT in client simulations, a Dana Foundation–funded grant on neuroscience and education, and co-authoring The Neuroeducation Toolbox.
