Biography
April Lucas serves as the Assistant Director and Internship supervisor at the Marshall University Counseling Center. In her role, she provides leadership and guidance to the counseling team, supports intern development, and helps shape the center’s services to best meet the needs of Marshall students.
April earned her master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marshall University’s Counseling Program. April has over 20 years of experience working in clinical counseling and is passionate about equipping future counselors with the skills and confidence to serve diverse populations. She values collaboration, compassion, student growth, holistic wellness, which guide her work in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for students and staff alike.
When she is not in the office, April enjoys spending time with family and friends, spending time outdoors, and traveling.
