Adam Rogers, a student broadcaster from Marshall University’s public radio station, WMUKL-FM, received a 2017 National Mark of Excellence Award from the Society of Professional Journalists. He will be presented his award, which was in the Radio Sports Reporting category, at the SPJ Convention and National Journalism Conference Saturday, Sept. 29, in Baltimore.

Five graduates of Marshall University’s W. Page Pitt School of Journalism and Mass Communications (SOJMC) are being inducted into the school’s Hall of Fame. Betsy Alderman, Andrea Billups, Frank Giardina, Todd Marcum and Jerry Tipton officially will be inducted during a ceremony this fall.
